Professor Fossum, (AKA: Jason Kincaid), began his stage career at age thirteen working in the chorus in the Lewis & Dare theatres-in-the-round productions of: PETER PAN, CAROUSEL, SNOW WHITE, ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, and CAMELOT. From there he was discovered by Mr. Edwin Lester, the Executive Producer of the Los Angeles Civic Light Opera, while auditioning for the Musical Theatre Workshop. He was accepted as the youngest full scholarship student in the school's history. After the Workshop he performed on the stage of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in: OLIVER!, SUGAR, WONDERFUL TOWN, GONE WITH THE WIND, IRMA LA DOUCE, and ON A CLEAR DAY. In the years since he has played from coast to coast, from Off-Broadway to Stock in productions of: SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS, MAME, THE AMERICAN PRINCESS, GOTTA DANCE, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, CAMELOT, and the Seattle Rep revival of GIRL CRAZY. Professor Fossum began his screen and television career at age eighteen when casting director Lane Allen saw him on stage and cast him to co-star on an episode of the series of MARCUS WELBY MD. After this he worked his way up to guest star and finally, series regular on Primetime as well as Daytime television on the following: CANNON, ADAM-12, SWITCH, RICH MAN, POOR MAN II, THE INCREDIBLE HULK, CHARLIE'S ANGELS, QUANTUM LEAP, THE EDGE OF NIGHT, AS THE WORLD TURNS, and DOUBLE DARE. It was his role as Sam Brady on ALL MY CHILDREN that he is best remembered. In Film and Movies Of-The-Week he has had the pleasure of working with some of the following: Bette Davis in FAMILY REUNION, Glynnis O'Connor in LITTLE MO, Doug McClure in NIGHTSIDE, Richard Chamberlain in AFTERMATH, John Lithgow in MY BROTHER'S KEEPER, both Directed by Glenn Jordan, Ben Gazarra in KILLING OF A CHINESE BOOKIE, directed by John Cassavetes, and GREEK SHOW directed by Nate Thomas.
Professor Fossum graduated Cum Laude from Mount St. Mary's College, with a BA degree in Liberal Arts, and minors in English and History. He was elected to Who's Who Among Students In American Universities & Colleges for 1999. He graduated Suma Cum Laude, with an MA degree from CSU San Bernardino, in Theatre & Communications. He has also written the biography of award winning Broadway, television, and film choreographer, Danny Daniels, titled: “A LIFE OF DANCE & CHOREOGRAPHY.”
