Jenny Park is a senior majoring in History and minoring in Marketing. As this year's CLASS Council president, her goal is to provide students with opportunities to enrich both their academics and campus involvements and to help students get the most out of their experience here at Cal Poly Pomona and in the College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences. Jenny's hobbies and interests include fishing, collecting souvenir pennies, and rescuing homeless dogs. She also enjoys watching movies, listening to jazz, and spending time with her family, including her dogs, JuJuBee and Minnee.

I'd probably be Athzul, since he's the most merciful of the horsemen, and his horse is a skeleton wrought with flames. Athzul rules!

Linda Huang is a Music Education major minoring in English. The 06-07 year will be her junior year at Cal Poly Pomona. After graduating, she plans to pursue graduate studies and eventually teach at the elementary school level. Some other activities that Linda is involved in include: MENC (Music Educators National Conference), Golden Key, Music Board, and the Bronco Pep Band. For this year, Linda hopes to help her fellow students realize all the great opportunities that are open to them on campus
A.S.I. Senator: Robert Blair rblair@csupomona.edu
Robert Blair is a fifth year philosophy major planning to pursue a Law degree. Originally serving on the E-board of the collage Philosophy Club and Phi Sigma Tau Honor society he has gone on to be involved in Cal-Poly Mock Trial, Ethics Society, Cal-Poly Ethics Bowl, Campus Debates, Education and Student Interest Council, and CLASS Council. He has volunteered in the community through Justice-Corps a derivative of the Ameri-Corps program, and tirelessly works to brighten the campus community. Increasing communication between CLASS and ASI, and strengthening student programs are two of his main concerns for the 06-07 year.

Jose M. Alvarez, President e-mail: jmalvarez@csupomona.edu
Jose Alvarez is an Anthropology (CRM) Option major; he hopes to pursue graduate and post-graduate studies following graduation, and eventually teach at the university level. He is a member of the Anthropology Club, COMPASS, and the Mexican American Student Association (MASA) on campus. In conjunction with MASA, Alvarez has worked with young students in a mentoring/tutoring program. He also volunteered with Maranata, a church youth group, where he assisted with peer counseling, fund raising, and conducting spiritual retreats. Alvarez has been named to the Dean's Honor List from 2003 to the present and has received the following scholarships: the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, the Brad Johnson Scholarship, the Hugh and Judy La Bounty Scholarship (President's Council Scholarship), the CRM Alumni Scholarship, and the Hilda L. Solis Scholarship. In fact, the latter was donated the Upward Bound Math & Science Program that is housed at Cal Poly Pomona. In addition, in the 2004-2005 academic year, Alvarez became a Ronald E. McNair Scholar. Furthermore, Alvarez is a member of: Golden Key International Honour Society, Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society for the Social Sciences, the Society for California Archaeology (SCA), the American Anthropological Association (AAA), and the Manzanita Elementary Parent-Teacher Association (PTA).

Dana Osborne, Secretary
Dana Osborne is an anthropology student minoring in digital media. The 05-06 year will mark her senior year at Cal Poly Pomona. She hopes to pursue a Ph.D. in anthropology and aims to teach, write, research and speak at the upper division university level. Her current involvement on campus includes: membership to the Pi Gamma Mu honor society, membership to the Golden Key Honor Society, McNair Scholars Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program (05 cohort), CLASS Council secretary, Anthropological Society treasurer (05-06) and functions as a student tutor at the University Writing Center.
She hopes to affect positive change and scholastic efficacy this year in CLASS Council by exposing incoming students, as well as current students, to the broad array of opportunities available to them by providing easy access to materials and resources.

David Mier is a fourth year Political Science and Philosophy major. He hopes to pursue a JD at any number of Southern California Law Schools. His current involvement on campus includes membership in: Pi Sigma Alpha, Phi Sigma Tau, Political Science Club, Philosophy Club, Golden Key Honor Society, Cal Poly Mock Trial Team, American Political Science Association, American Philosophical Association, Cal Poly College Republicans, Cal Poly Ethics Society, and ASI CLASS Senator. This year he hopes to continue working with the council in his official capacity and would like to continue with a follow up to last year’s successful CLASS Council Career Day.
Jennifer Stevens, Historian

Major: Environmental Geography
Involvement: Geographical Society President, McNair Scholar, Tutor for the
Upward Bound Program, California Geographical Society member, and Pi Gamma Mu
(Social Science Honor Society) member.
Goals: Jennifer would like to become a professor of geography and teach the
world that math is cool! She plans to pursue a Ph.D. in geography after
graduating this June. She is interested in conducting research aiding the
success and education of women in a deprived ("third world") country with a
high average fertility rate.
