Legislative District Offices

  • Work in the district office of a member of Congress or the state legislature.   • Volunteer internships are available with the L.A. County Department of Consumer Affairs.
  • The Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs selects 48 Fellows each year, including 12 at its Southern California Center.   • The Cal State University International Programs offer exciting opportuniities for oversees study at over 70 distinguished universities and other institutions of higher learning in 17 countries.   • Volunteer Abroad. A one-stop site for students looking to gain international experience.
  • Cross Cultural Soluntions. CCS has been in operation for over 10 years, drawing over 3,000 volunteers each year. This organization is committed to providing safe, transparent and professional programs.
  • Transitions Abroad. According to the Association of International Educators TA is “the single most useful and important” resource for work abroad, study abroad, cultural travel overseas, and international living.
  • Operation Crossroads Africa. This program was established in 1958 to build working relationships between North Americans and Africans.
  • Amizade Has a host of community driven volunteer programs and service learning programs worldwide.
  • Global Impact. A non-profit organization that represents more than 50 of the most respected U.S based international charities. This organization is involved with disaster relief, education, health training and economic

  • Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship: Your local Rotary Club of Pomona is looking for motivated and qualified juniors and seniors to apply for a One Academic-Year Scholarship for Study Abroad. Applications are available online.
