Greetings from Seoul, Korea. In the last 4 weeks, I have soaked in the history of Korea’s Chosun dynasty, the devastation of Japanese colonization, the remains of the Cold War (Demilitarization Zone-DMZ); and the vibrant pulse of contemporary Seoul. The strength and resilience of Korean peoples are felt here, as well as, their ability to adapt and compete in our global world.
Currently, Seoul is the 7th most expensive city in the world: produce, housing, gas prices to name a few is two or three times that of California. Yet, the public transportation system (bus and subways), local eateries, and beauty products and services are a great savings! Seoul is also one of the cleanest cities I have visited and environmentally conscientious! It is a dynamic city that Cal Poly Pomona must experience!
