The Commercial Music emphasis prepares students for performing careers in the jazz/pop music world.
Students take a wide variety of classes including Introduction To Music Business, Theory and Musicianship, Analog Recording, Digital Recording, Songwriting, Midi Recording, Introduction To Popular Music and Jazz. Junior and senior level students take Publishing, Management, and Film & TV Music classes with adjunct professionals working in the music industry.
All students participate in ethnic, jazz and traditional music classes and performing ensembles.
