The Department of Geography & Anthropology at Cal Poly Pomona is pleased to have you drop by.  We currently offer a bachelor of science degree in two disciplines: Anthropology and Geography.  A third degree program, Social Sciences, is currently available but will cease accepting majors after spring quarter 2013.

The Anthropology program aims at the scientific study of the peoples of the world, past and present, in the broadest possible sense: their total biological and cultural heritage.  The program includes two tracks: General and Cultural Resource Management.

The Geography program is designed to provide an understanding of humanity's cultural and physical environments by examining the dynamic systems (both natural and human) through which these diverse settings are changed or sustained.  The program includes three tracks: General, Environmental Geography and Geographic Information Systems.

The Social Sciences program examines all aspects of human existence, from human origins to the latest election returns.  The program has only one track: General and will cease to accept majors after spring quarter 2013.
