The Communication Department at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) invites lecturers to become members of our part-time temporary lecturer pool.  Specialization in teaching Public Speaking, Argumentation, Desktop Publishing, Print Journalism, Broadcast/Digital Journalism, Communication Theory, Persuasion, Communication Law, and other communication courses depending upon departmental need are especially welcomed.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Master’s degree in a Communication/Communication-related discipline by the date of their application.
• (Master’s degree require-ment may be waived if the applicant has extensive and distinguished professional experience directly related to his/her proposed teaching assignment.)

Preferred/Desired Qualifications:

• Previous college teaching experience is strongly preferred, along with a record of effective teaching.
