Entrance Preperation

There is no specific subject requirement for students entering Cal Poly directly from high school. The following courses are recommended:

College prep English
Foreign language (preferably Spanish)
Two years high school algebra/one year geometry
College prep lab science
College prep history and/or social science
Study in speech, music, art, typing, data processing, bookkeeping or accounting

Community college transfers are urged to consult with their counselors for information or transferability of courses and articulation agreements for courses other than basic general education requirements.
