Who: |
A collaboration between three master painters brings us snapshots of Latino life in the western hemisphere. Mexican painter Roberto Rosique, Hispanic-American painter Gregg Stone and Chicano artist Emigdio Vasquez combine efforts to bring us this unique exhibit. |
What: |
This exhibit shows three diverse painting styles representing the contrasting lives of Latinos in the western hemisphere. Stone's watercolors depict the realities of daily Mexican life, Rosique's oils represent surreal visions of crossing the border and Vasquez's oils portray narratives on Chicano life in Los Angeles. The three visions of Latino life examine the realities, visions and nightmares Latinos experience today. There will be live Latin Jazz in conjunction with the opening reception. |
