Cal Poly Pomona Downtown Center Gallery Presents
Discretions
by Carlos Flores

Who:

Artist Carlos Flores was born in Nicaragua. He made his way to the US, and after serving in the US Army, graduated from Art Center in 2003.  This will be his first solo exhibition.

What:

The Downtown Center features painter Carlos Flores in his first solo exhibition.  Carlos paints scenes and portraits of private moments and spaces.  Sometimes tender, sometimes explosive, but always moving.  Carlos paints with acrylic on wood panels, because he needs a strong surface to support the powerful imagery he orchestrates so masterfully.
