The Cal Poly Pomona Downtown Center brings you The Literacy Through The Arts Auction Preview.  The Downtown Center is an arts and service learning organization offering cultural events, youth and adult programs, and an exhibit gallery

What:

The Literacy Through The Arts Auction Preview is an exhibit of the fine art being auctioned on September 24th as a benefit to the Downtown Center Literacy Through The Arts programs.  The exhibit includes pieces from many prominent artists, such as Michael Aschenbrenner, Paul Soldner, Karl Benjamin, William Catling, Steve Tobin, Shirley Moss, Chris Toovey, Ken Sheffer, and Tom Pathe.  Over 40 pieces will be exhibited and auctioned off, this exhibit hopes to whet the appetite of art collectors and show pieces never before seen in the Downtown Center Gallery.

When:

Sunday, September 2nd – 22nd from Tuesdays through Saturdays Noon – 6p.m. Opening reception is September 9th 6p.m. – 9p.m.

Where:

Cal Poly Pomona Downtown Center 300 W. Second Street, in Pomona, the Pomona Central Library (main branch 625 W. Garey Ave., Pomona) and the Bronco Exhibit Gallery (Bronco Student Center 3801 W. Temple Ave.)

Why:

Visit the Cal Poly Pomona Downtown Center, located in the heart of the Pomona Arts Colony- the opening reception is held in conjunction with the Arts Colony's Second Saturday Artwalk event with free gallery openings, live music, shops and restaurants all in a 6 block radius.

Ticketing:

Both the reception and the exhibit are open to the public, free of charge.
