CLASS Alumni Chapter Endowed Scholarship Fund
Thanks to contributions from our chapter executive, friends of our college, and our Dean, a $10,000 endowed scholarship has been established in order that scholarships can be given to deserving CLASS students annually, in perpetuity. This scholarship continues to make a much-needed difference for future CLASS alumni, one life at a time.
The names of all donors to the Endowed Scholarship Fund have been placed on the Virtual Plaque on our CLASS alumni web site. Donors of gifts of $500 are listed on a beautiful plaque that is prominently displayed in the CLASS foyer. Contributions may be made to continue building the fund.

The Michael Yarbrough Scholarship
As many of you know, Michael Yarbrough taught for the Communication Department at Cal Poly Pomona for more than 18 years. During that time, he mentored nearly 4,000 students in the art of public speaking. Michael loved working with students, and was a patient coach and tireless cheerleader. It is this legacy that we want to honor by establishing the Michael Yarbrough Communication Endowed Scholarship.
This scholarship is awarded to Communication majors who not only exhibit academic excellence but who also reflect the humane values that Michael personified every day in a life dedicated to helping others.

In Memory of Ray Daugherty
Professor Emeritus Ray Daugherty, who spent over four decades teaching and coaching in the Kinesiology and Health Promotions Department, died peacefully on February 7, 2001. During his tenure, he coached seven different sports and touched the lives of over 40,000 students. Faculty colleagues and the Daugherty family have established a memorial scholarship fund that will benefit a KHP major who has a commitment to lifelong physical fitness.
