FACULTY POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
PART-TIME/TEMPORARY LECTURERS

DEPARTMENT:

MUSIC

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

For General Education classes and most academic Music Major courses:
Master's Degree required, Doctorate preferred. Prior college teaching experience in music is desirable.

For Studio, most Music Business courses, or many Performance Ensemble:
Baccalaureate required, Master's or Doctorate preferred. Special expertise and experience are required.

NOTE: Interested persons must submit a completed application form, letter of intent, curriculum vitae, an official transcript showing highest degree earned (from an accredited educational institution), and three (3) recent letters of reference (Within the past 2 years).
TEACHING AREAS:

Studio: Classical, Jazz and Pop Styles, selected World Music
Music Business courses: check the website for possible courses
General Education: Introduction to Music, Music Appreciation (world music based), World of Music
Performance Ensembles: check the website for possible courses
Music Major Academic courses: check the website for possible courses.

APPOINTMENTS: Part-time temporary lecturer appointments are usually made for one academic quarter only (approximately 11 weeks at fractions usually ranging from 4/15 to 12/15 of full-time; multiple quarter appointments are sometimes possible). Incumbents may be reappointed to subsequent quarters contingent upon funding and favorable performance evaluations.
