The Kinesiology & Health Promotion Department at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) invites lecturers to become members of our part-time temporary lecturers pool. Candidates should have the ability to teach one or more of the following: Activities: Aerobics, Aikido, Badminton, Basketball, Golf, Gymnastics, Jogging, Karate, Kickboxing, Power Walking, Soccer, Social Dance, Softball, Step Aerobics, Stretching, Swimming, Tennis, Tumbling and Trampoline, Volleyball, Weight Training, Yoga. Lecture Courses: Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, Exercise Metabolism/Weight control, Personal Health, Stress Management, Consumer Health Program Planning and Evaluation, Drug Education, First Aid.

Appointments:
Part-time, temporary lecturer appointments are usually made for one academic quarter (approximately 11 weeks) at fractions usually ranging from 4/15 to 12/15 of full-time; multiple quarter appointments are possible. Incumbents may be reappointed to subsequent quarters contingent upon funding and favorable performance evaluations.

The University:
Cal Poly Pomona is a public university and one of 23 campuses in the California State University system. The campus is located approximately 25 miles east of downtown Los Angeles and is part of one of the most dynamic economic and cultural regions in the country. The College:
The College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences advances knowledge and learning in established academic disciplines in the humanities, social sciences, and performing arts. It provides introductory and advanced course work in more than 20 degree and certificate programs.

The Department:
The Kinesiology & Health Promotion Department offers an undergraduate curriculum divided into three options: Pedagogy, Exercise Science and Health Promotion. In addition to its own majors, the KHP department provides required and elective courses in kinesiology and health to meet the educational needs throughout the University.  The department also offers a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology.
