FACULTY POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
PART-TIME/TEMPORARY LECTURERS

     
DEPARTMENT:

POLITICAL SCIENCE
 (Including Public Administration)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

For political science courses, ABD in Political Science or subfield thereof required by date of application; for the course in political sociology, ABD in Political Science, Sociology, or a subfield of either required by date of application; for public administration area, ABD in a doctoral program with a PA emphasis and/or M.P.A. (by date of application) and field experience in government service required. For all courses, teaching experience with evidence (from letter of recommendation, teaching evaluations, etc.) of teaching excellence preferred.
NOTE:

Interested persons must submit a completed application form, curriculum vitae, an official transcript showing highest degree earned (from an accredited educational institution), and three (3) recent letters of reference (Within the past 2 years).

*Must be sent to us directly from the University Registrar. For candidates who are ABD, registrarŐs verification of ABD status also required if not indicated on transcript.
TEACHING AREAS:

American Government and Politics, Comparative Politics, International Relations, Political Philosophy, Public Administration, Public Law, Research Methods, Political Sociology.
APPOINTMENTS: Part-time, temporary lecturer appointments are usually made for one academic quarter only (approximately 11 weeks at fractions usually ranging from 4/15 to 12/15 of full-time; multiple quarter appointments are sometimes possible). Incumbents may be reappointed to subsequent quarters contingent upon funding and favorable performance evaluations.
