Digital Media Minor Committee Meetings

Charge of the Committee

The Committee is advisory to the Dean of CLASS about curriculum development, assessment, facilities, equipment, and program promotion related to the minor. The College works closely with the Division of Instructional and Information Technology to develop and implement this program.

Membership

The Committee has representatives from the academic departments in CLASS along with representatives from Instructional and Information Technology (I & IT). Members are recruited based on their expertise and interest in digital technologies.

Program Description

The Digital Media Minor Program is based in the College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences, but is available to all students at the university. Digital Media incorporates the study and use of multi-media technology into an array of social sciences, performing arts, and humanities courses. The technologies employed should enhance the content knowledge of the students. Students who complete the minor will be familiar with the applications of relevant technology for research and learning. The goals of the program are to promote peer learning, group projects, interdisciplinary approaches, and service learning.

Meeting Schedule

The Committee meets on the second Friday of each month from 9:30 to 11:00.
